I remember voting for Bacon before souring on him about a decade ago. I chose him over Avercamp and Audobon! Those were the days!

But alas, he won't even make my top 4 this time. Those will go to Chase, Kiefer, de Hooch, and Bonnington.

VOTES: Bonington, Dufy (yes cheerful -- we need cheerful), De Hooch & Chase

Bacon: The Horror, then Bonington SAD that he only lived to be 26 -- what a waste of a fine talent. Re Chase, the second painting. There is a place where you can walk down into Riverside Park, with steps & then a wall curving down, that is very like that painting. I checked on Google -- Chase could easily have been in Riverside Park & painted that very spot!

And lastly, Becca says "Not wild about any of them this time. The first electrocution one made me feel the most- though it was surely uncomfortable. So if I must choose one it is that one."
