For: Léger, Gozzoli, Matta
Against: Appel
Leger, Matta, Tatlin
Léger, Lowry, Appel, and Cragg. (That bottom Cragg sculpture! Wow!) Another week where Gozzoli comes in "a close fifth", for me.
Hmmm, I'll go with Léger, Tatlin, and Gozzoli.
Leger wins easy here. Homoerotic painting of men carrying a steal beam, standing so very close to each other, looking into each other's eyes, seems like not the way to get it done easily, but they got something done that day. Leger wins in dominating fashion.
Lowry, --no, that's it. Maybe I'm just tired, but that's all I'm feeling right now.
I missed Lowry and his little people! And I also will cast votes for Gozzoli, Tatlin, and Matta.
Cragg, Lowry, Leger, and Tatlin
Well, we have a text message from Elliott this morning, for Cragg, Lowry and Legar, against Appel.
Also, an email from Susan: Fernand Leger, LS Lowry, Vladimir Tatlin & Gozzoli.
Welcome to the show, Monsoon; Dr. Ken, you may be on to something there with your analysis.
This whole batch feels like it's about 20 rungs too high. Only Cragg particularly speaks to me. Lowry is like, what, the British Grandma Moses? I guess I'll stand neutral there.
