The Ladder of Art -- Week #81

Cast votes for up to four of these seven artists by Saturday, August 15.  For clarifications, consult the Ladder of Art FAQ.

Hello, fellow art enthusiasts!  I apologize for the missed week.  Blogger, the antique platform on which this publication is perched, has after many years replaced its clunky old interface with a clunky new interface.  This comes as a surprise, as I wouldn't have expected anyone at Google to remember that Blogger still exists.

I'm sure that the update solves various issues here and there, which is great, but the immediate effect is of course to make putting together a new post about six times as effortful as it was before.  In the way of things, this will persist for about a month, at which point I will be broken to the new system and forget that things were ever any different.

Also, things may look wrong.  Let me know if there are problems.

Last Week's Results

2. Matta: 4
3. Christo: 3

I have been hearing about this new blogger system. Hope it's not like the new math.

Christo, Hogarth, Gozzoli, and--well, Bonnard, I hope to admire your sun-dappled peignoirs in a museum again someyear soon, but I find that Cragg is looking good this week.

And I say Matta, Christo, Cragg, I suppose. Christo towers over the others in my affections, but my vote can't save him from the h8ters.

I guess I'll go with Epstein. I like that the one sculpture looks like one of the bad guy droids from the Star Wars movies, even if it's from one of the crappy prequels.
