Cast up to four votes in the comments by Saturday morning!
Wilkie, Gozzoli (what's going on in that bottom one?), Fantin-Latour and Mondrian.
ReplyDeleteWitz, Gozzoli, Fantin-Latour, Mondrian.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna go with the last four: Gozzoli (there's a LOT going on in that bottom one, that's what), Duchamp, Fantin-Latour (who knew?), and Mondrian.
ReplyDeleteSusan says "Three VOTES today: Sir David Wilkie -- I like him very much. The top one looks like a scene with the miserly old man in a nineteenth-century novel. And Gozzoli & Fantin-Latour." And now that she sees it, I think that I've seen Wilkie's on 19th century novel covers.
ReplyDeleteDo not get the Wilkie like or the Fantin-Latour love, but I like most of the others, so no one will get the wrath of a negative vote. I'll also vote for Mondrian, Gozzoli, and Witz.
ReplyDeleteVote against Duchamp.
ReplyDeleteFantin-Latour and Witz. Votes against Duchamp and Mondrian.
ReplyDeleteForgot to say that one of votes was for Duchamp.
ReplyDeleteMondrian, Duchamp, Gozzoli, Fantin-LaTour. Goodbye, Daubigny!
