  1. I'll start this time. It's tempting to say "Ooh I'll go with the fresh new guys, except I don't really like Henry Moore. I recognize that James Ensor is kind of an acquired taste, but the Entry Into Jerusalem (the second one here) is pretty cool in its room-sized glory, standing in for All of Modern Art -- no, really! -- at the Getty Museum. One vote for Ensor! Additional votes for van Goyen (yay Dutchies!) & Oudry (yay play-in artists!). And I will stick with he, Hans: one vote for Holbein!

  2. Vote against Moore. Vote for Daubigny, Boudin and Van Goyen.

  3. Daubigny, Oudrey, Boudin, and van Goyen.

  4. I keep wondering when I'll tire of Dabuigny, but it's not yet. And Holbein 4evah! And before I throw in Boudin as well again, let me consider the others.

I love the dead hanging bird of Oudrey, but his others, mostly animal action shots, not as much. Not into Moore. Van Goyen is incredible, but can I vote for yet another dour landscape artist? Now that Ensor character is interesting, but I have no idea what he's going for.

So I'll add in votes for Boudin and Van Goyen, I feel like I have a type!, but I reserve the right to drop one by Friday if figure out what Ensor is all about.

  8. Susan: van Goyen, Henry Moore (I almost never vote for sculptors but I like Moore very much), Oudry & Daubigny.
Oudry: Dead birds seem particularly unsuitable to now (not just death, but also Spring Birds) but I have to vote for the Rhino -- I remember voting for him in the Tourney.

  9. Oudry, Boudin, Holbein, Daubigny.

  10. Flipping! After reading their bios, I think I appreciate Ensor more. Moore as well, but not enough to put him top 4. I'll drop van Goyen.
