Oh, me first, me first! Hodgkin yes yes, then Veronese, Wadsworth still (who has really grown on me), and Daubigny still on the steady ascent.

Veronese, Daubigny.

Daubigny! And Hodgkin I guess. In the past I've voted Gros, but I feel underwhelmed now, so I won't -- perhaps he's ascended to his proper placement by now.

Ha, thumbing my nose at the newcomers, as well as the unaccountably persistent Gros, I'll go Veronese, Wadsworth, and Daubigny.

We've got a Big Three and a Little Four this week: Daugbigny has 8, Wadsworth 7, and Veronese 6. Then, Guston has 2, Gros and Hodgkin 1 each, and Clemente not a mention.

Guston survives on a technicality, basically.

Gros, who has been "Mr. Fourth Place" seemingly since the Carter Administration, finally goes to his great reward -- and it's a pretty great reward. He gained a whopping 23 places on the ladder, making him basically the winner of the Ladder of Art thus far! ...although Daubigny will eventually beat him, and probably Wadsworth too.
