Left Bracket Fourth Round Elimination: Klimt v. Kandinsky!

In this here Left Bracket Fourth Round Elimination Match, Gustav Klimt (6-1, 60-23, .723) takes on Wassily Kandinsky (4-1-1, 43-23, .652). In getting to this round, they knocked Georges de La Tour (3-2, 37-25, .597) and Frantisek Kupka (4-2-1, 42-35, .545), respectively, right out of the Tournament.

Klimt has impressive stats going into the match, but he has lost to Paul Klee, who tied up with Kandinsky when they crossed Tournament paths.  What will happen is, the artist who gets the most votes will win!

  2. Brutal match-up for me. I really like both artists, and judging by the other rounds, like both more than most voters. So I really really just want this to a tie. But if I must, I'll go Klimt. They both are out of this world, but Klimt brings his out-there takes to reality more, which I find just a bit more impressive.

  3. Ooh nice match up. Easy for me though as I'm a big softie for Kandinsky.

  4. Even easier for me as I'm a big softie for Kandinksy, and I don't like Klimt.

  5. You know, I do like Klimt. His work coheres in a way that Kandinsky's does not, for me, cohere.

  7. All right, that was let's see six votes for Klimt and Kandinsky only had four, so Klimt is off to take on Ed Hopper and Kandinsky heads back to the studio. Or would, if he were still alive, I suppose.
