The Infinite Art Tournament, Left Bracket Third Round TIEBREAK: Miró v. Sluter!

Hi, did you miss the Tournament?  Did you realize it was missing?  It went to Canada for a few days.  Hope you were OK without your competitive art fix for a week.

Anyway.  It seems that the Sluter/Leighton match ended in a tie, which is actually kind of convenient since Miro and Masseys have been sitting on a tie as well.  So, let's get these tiebreakers rolling, shall we?  Yes, we shall.

Joan Miró
1893 - 1983
Spanish

Claus Sluter
1380ish - 1405
Dutch; worked in France.

  5. This is tough. One is vibrant and exciting but not very impressive. One is technically impressive but kind of boring. Hmmm.

    Hmmmmmm.

I like to play a game in museums. If you found it in the attic, knowing nothing about it, what would you do with it? Hang it up, throw it away, or give it as a gift? (There's no sell it option because you don't think of it has having monetary worth; any ale would be like at a garage sale.)

I guess I'd be happier to find a Sluter. I'd display it in my living room. I might throw away a Miro. So I'm going with Sluter.

  6. Well, I'd be happy with either in my living room, though we'd probably have to reinforce the floor for a Sluter. I'm voting for Miró.

  8. Good turnout for this one, as Miro' wins by a nice twelve to four margin. He takes on Viera da Silva in the next match!
