  1. Vasarely has piqued my fancy this morning. Would I vote for him normally? Maybe not!

  4. Velazquez, but either is OK with me really.

  5. Velázquez is an old favorite of mine--as in the case of Bosch and Goya, a trip to El Prado when I was in high school seems to have cemented a lifelong admiration. Vasarely's fun, but Velázquez is head, shoulders, and a 20-foot ladder above him.

  6. I had to do some annoying homework about Las Meninas once, and so I have suitable admiration for Velasquez but I just plain love Vasarely so he gets my vote.

  7. I have a funny childhood nostalgia for Vasarely.

  10. It's... a tie! By a factor of six million! Vasarely and Velázquez will head back to the green room to cool their heels for a while before trying again against new antogonists. Vasarely will take on Tatlin and Velázquez, well, who knows! Possibly Duchamp, but it's still at least a season too early to tell.
