  4. I really like that top landscape by Schiele--I pretty much like anything he painted that doesn't have people in it--but really, I just can't dig his creepy people floating in space. Schwitters was such a pioneer, and a personal favorite. His work can seem either thrown-together or sublime, or some curious amalgam of the two. My heart takes a little leap if I see it on a museum wall. Definitely has my vote in this contest.
