The Infinite Art Tournament, Round FOUR: Rockwell v. Monet!

Judging from their records to date, you probably haven't cast many votes much against either one of these guys. But you only get to vote for one of them this time.

Norman Rockwell
1894 - 1978
American

Claude Monet
1840 - 1926
French
  • Skunked! Skunked Henry Moore in Round 1
  • Skunked! Skunked Fernand Léger in Round 2
  • Beat Gustave Moreau easily in Round 3.

Vote for the artist of your choice in the comments, or any other way that works for you. Commentary and links to additional work are welcome. Fourth-round matches are open for at least three months after posting.

  1. Came in expecting to vote for Monet. Will vote for Rockwell. Won't be unhappy if either one wins.

  4. Same as Morgan above. I was expecting to vote Monet, but, reviewing Rockwell's paintings (though I've always thought of him as an illustrator and not a fine artist), I'm won over by the humanness of his humans.

  5. More action from FB: Ann goes for Rockwell; Grace goes for Monet!

  6. I think both of these dudes are great. And it's kind of like voting for apples v. oranges in the Infinite Fruit Tournament...... so....... I guess a vote for Rockwell, reluctantly.
