I think Ben Nicholson is fabulous. Stealthily so--his work is much stronger in person, and it's taken me years to begin to process just what I love about his spare, elegant, cubist-inspired branch of the modernist tree. It is a fine morning when I get to vote for him.
Voting in the Infinite Art Tournament? Awesome. And, please be aware that purely anonymous votes are not counted. You don't need to log in or use your real name, but you must identify yourself in some fashion for your vote to count.
Newman
ReplyDeleteNicholson. I like non-vertical lines sometimes.

ReplyDeleteI find this to be a curiously strong clash of minimalists. I like the bottom Newman and the top Nicholson a lot. Let's... geez. I don't know.
ReplyDeleteI do not like Newman. Nicholson.

Newman's clean lines are appealing more than Nicholson's blurrier, busier lines this morning.
ReplyDeleteNicholson takes the contests, seven to four over Newman. We'll see how he does against Georgia O'Keefe, starting tomorrow.
