  1. Michelangelo always annoyed me because all his women look like men with women's heads stitched on. At least Millais used real women as models. Millais FTW!

  2. Michelangelo, for the dynamism.

  4. It's true Michelangelo liked 'em muscly--even his architecture was robust and muscular. Probably his sonnets were as well. He was pretty much the Renaissance on steroids. And, may I remind you, HE WAS MICHELANGELO!!! He's got my vote. I don't expect him to lose it anytime soon.

  5. Morgan, eternally vigilant in matters pertaining to the Tournament, is correct: Linda went for MILLAIS on Facebook.

  6. Based on the four pictures here, I probably would join the middle-finger-to-art-historians Millais crew; I really don't like the first Michelangelo image here. But after a Google search, I will toe the line and vote for Michelangelo.

  7. I like Millais, but I think I'll cast my lot with this darkhorse "Michelangelo", whoever he was.

  8. Susan's email says "Millais." I checked twice.

  9. In uncomfortably low voter turnout, favorite Michelangelo survives a scare but beats Millais by a single vote, five to four. Which is as good as a blowout, depending on how you look at it.
