  3. Hmmm, I like Lewis, but I figure the Limbourg Brothers are in the tournament representing the marvels of the illuminated manuscript. Plus, in the feasting panel? The way those columns support a gold entablature, and then there's landscape, knights, and sky, and then another gold ceiling? and a red and blue panel connecting them all, and the celestial arch above? That just makes my heart sing.

  4. Wow it's tied, and I am finally catching up and maybe can break this tie? Well, we looked and almost picked Lewis, but looking more I rather like the illuminated stuff, especially the celestrial top stuff in the second one. I'm not a giant fan of illustrated book stuff—although seeing some in person up close was cool—the computer screen doesn't do them justice—although but these Limbourg guys' stuff is quite nice. Limbourg bros!
