Giacometti, partly because I missed the picture clue on "University Challenge" the other day that had his walking-forward-guy piece and I was so frustrated that I KNEW the sculpture and couldn't remember the artist. Maybe this vote will help.
van der Goes.
A vote for the thin men.
Giacometti
Giacometti!
Giacometti is super familiar to me due to there being some in the Albright-Knox. But I never really liked his stuff. I know he's famous and all, but maybe I just never got it. The Dutch guy isn't the best Dutch guy ever. But I like the the Garden of Eden snake, who looks like some kind of blue-backed ferret with the head of a not-quite-bald-yet Brian Eno. So, Hugo van der Goes.

Oh, van der Goes, absolutely. Giacometti's cool and all, but I don't think of him as really world class cool...
van der goes
And it's van der Goes by a nose in light holiday voting, with six votes against four for the thin men. This one is closed!
