I usually go for sculpture over old-fashioned ladies in silhouette, but I don't particularly like Lipchitz and I'm really compelled by Liotard so I'll vote for the Swiss this time around.

Liotard. Wow!

Not nuts about either of these, but I'll go with the second guy just for "Bull With the Same Disease As The Elephant Man."
I like Liotard's portraits, though that black dog looks like a space alien. But I'm going to go with Lipchitz.
I find those Liotard's rather fetching.
And also an emailed vote for Liotard.

I've fallen behind in my voting! Better make myself some coffee and catch up. First off, Lipchitz.
Liotard makes a pretty good case for 18th-century art here.
And with the final votes counted, it's Liotard and the Swiss misses headed for the Second Round, having captured 9 votes to Lipschitz's 4.
