The Infinite Art Tournament Left Bracket Third-Round Elimination: Chardin v. Cornell!

The letter C represents some of the biggest names in art, and today's Third Round Elimination match pits some of the survivors of a bracket cluster in which even artists like Marc Chagall, Christo, Claude Lorraine, and Giorgio de Chirico could not get any traction.

Joseph Cornell and Jean-Baptiste-Simeon Chardin both won their first two matches before falling in the Third Round.  Arriving in the Left Bracket, both of them won their fourth match by the same vote, 7 to 5.  Cornell beat Philippe de Champaigne, who leaves us with a record of 3-2 (31 vf - 33 va).  Pieter Claesz  fell to Chardin after also running up a record of 3-2 (35 vf - 31 va).
