Vote for the two artists of your choice! Votes generally go in the comments, but have been known to arrive by email, by postcard, or in a sealed envelope.
Please note that you may vote only once in each face-off. Opining that both of the artists in one of the two face-offs is superior to the other is fine, but casting your votes for two artists in the same face-off is not permissible.

Kalf and Kaufmann
I like all four, which is probably a first for these left bracket first-round matchups. I'll go with Bonington and Kelly.
Bonington and Kauffman
Kalf - I fuckin' love Dutch still life!
And Kelly because his paintings would translate well into quilts.
I agree with Christine.
Reb: Nice self-referential use of vocabulary with Dutch roots.
Bonington and Kauffmann.
Huh, I'm going to vote a little strangely here... Bonington, probably because I saw some live a few weeks ago and thought it was yum, though no doubt I would have fuckin' loved a Dutch still life too; and, Kelly, even though I haven't really been wowed when I saw 'em in person.
Bonington and Kelly.

Time's up! Surviving the First Round are Bonington, who beat Kalf 8 votes to 4 in a tough bracket, and Kelly, who takes out Kauffmann 7 votes to 5.
