The Infinite Art Tournament Second-Round Elimination: Dossi v. Buren!

Play-In Tournament Phase 2, Flight 5 closes noon PDT this Saturday!

Daniel Buren defeated Kees Van Dongen in a Left Bracket tiebreaker to get down here among the Ds, while Dosso Dossi won his second straight after a First Round loss in order to keep his hopes alive. Who did Dosso Dossi lose to in the First Round?  Kees Van Dongen, that's who.  Does that mean that Daniel Buren will trample all over the hapless Dossi?  Let's find out!

Van Dongen leaves the tournament this week with a record of 1-2-1 (27 cumulative votes for, 24 against).   Jean Dubuffet, who fell foul of Dossi, went 1-2 (15-23).

  1. Dossi, although I like Buren.

  2. Dossi! Does this mean that art is not...what's the term...not commutative...

  3. Buren. I like the black-and-white-and-gray installation.

  4. I think Buren's finally dragged a vote out of me. Someday I'm probably going to see a Dossi in a museum and say "whoa, he's good!" But until then...

  5. Buren. Although I don't like the red bridge thing. In fact I tend not to like large red metal things in general.

  6. Buren defeats Van Dongen! Van Dongen defeats Dossi! DOSSI DEFEATS BUREN! Rock defeats scissors! Dewey defeats Truman!

It's only a two-vote swing, but with a 7-5 mandate Dosso Dossi advances to Round 3 and a shot at the semis!
