Hokusai
ReplyDeleteVaro, barely.
ReplyDeleteThis is a tough one, but I'm going to go for the bizarre-o Varo.
ReplyDeleteLove Varo!
ReplyDeleteArrggh! I hate this matchup.
ReplyDeleteHokusai, because. Just because.
Varo
ReplyDeleteThis is a tough choice, but the delicacy of Varo makes him my favourite, despite the perfect lines of Hokusai. Luckily we still have Hiroshige, right?
ReplyDeleteVaro
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I like Remedios Varo. She's grown on me. Can I vote for her quirky little vignettes over the far more influential and wide-ranging mastery of Hokusai?
ReplyDeleteI find I can.
Remedios Varo strikes me as very "McMenamins," for those of you from the City of Roses. I like that. Varo it is!
ReplyDeleteHokusai. The colors.

ReplyDeleteVaro
ReplyDeleteNichim, in what seems to be the first ever instance of someone responding to the "Polls Close Soon" reminder, puts the cap on Varo's landslide. It's 10-4 against Hokusai.
