  1. Kandinsky! Kandinsky! Kandinsky! Kandinsky! That counts as four votes, right?

  2. Kalf. I may have mentioned before that I'm a sucker for a good still life, and this one rocks the lobster.

  3. "Rocks the lobster" is quite good.

  4. Why thank you. Although it's not long before I'll be fifty-two years old, I still try to keep my hand in with the bons mots.

  5. Yeah, Kalf is admirable, but I have to go with Kandinsky here, because he helped usher in the modern world, a dizzying act which transcends even the most glistening lobster.

  6. It says a lot for Kalf's chops that I hesitated before saying "well duh, Kandinsky." He's one of the painters who has had the most direct impact on my personal artsy-crafty life, for what that's worth.

  8. A vote in the mails says "Kalf -- I like the lobster."

  9. Kandinsky runs away with his opening match, running up 10 points to Kalf's 3... although we seem to like Kalf, too. We'll see how they fare in their next contests!
