ReplyDeleteNormally I would vote for Fabritius and his finch, but tonight I can't stop looking at Fouquet's red angeldevils. He gets my vote for being avant-garde before there was even a garde to be avant of.
ReplyDeleteI'll vote for Fabritius and his finch!
ReplyDeleteI can't decide! Ok, Fabritius. I decided.
ReplyDeleteI share Elizabeth's fascination with the angeldevils, but I like Fabritius in this match. Look, two centuries before photography he's doing studio portraits, telephoto birds, and wide-angle street scenes, all of them top-notch.
ReplyDeleteA correspondent votes for Fabritius.
ReplyDeleteFouquet.
ReplyDeleteWhoops, I completely missed my vote on this one. I wouldn't have made much of a difference anyway, as Fabritius stacked up 7 votes to Fouquet's only 3. That will set up quite the interesting grudge match! See you there next week.
