  1. I like the matched selections of horse riding and women looking to the left (or is it the right?). I sort of kind of like the carousel picture, but I am going to stay with the native son and go with Géricault, on the strength of the second portrait (also the leopard-skin saddle blanket is interesting).

  8. Gericault, mostly for the second painting. Not that I was inclined to anyhow, but I don't think I could have voted for Gertler after seeing that woman's leg and foot.
