  4. Let's put Ourdry, Filinov, and Debombourg in the mix.

  5. And I (and by "I" I mean wikipedia) believe it's Filonov and that he's Russian.

  7. Thanks, p. I was wondering why people kept writing "Ourdry" in their votes...

  8. Oudry
    Forg
    Alechinsky
    Filonov

And I'm completely confused by the Sub Rules - but that's probably me.

  9. The MulchMaid is voting! Awesome.

It's not just you! The tournament rules are absurdly convoluted! Think of it as all part of the festive atmosphere.

  10. Filinov--I've seen some of his work in person, and it's awesome in tiny-multi-faceted ways that are hard to describe.

Oudry looks good, and I'll also go with Tjapaltjarri and Alechinsky.

  11. Filinov is one of my faves in person, although it's been hard to find good images to do him justice.

I think the commercial artists in this flight are quite good, particularly Avati but Maguire as well. I'm with them.

And, I'll join the Oudry landslide as well.

  13. Maguire
    Avati
    Oudry
    Debombourg

And may I just say that although I am not a fan of all of Debombourg, after looking a bit on the net, I thought that some of his pieces had a fun whimsy that really appealed to me.

  14. A vote-by mail has arrived with the following slate:

    Robert Maguire
    James Avati
    Oudry
    Filinov.

  15. It's the first ever unanimous decision as Oudry sweeps the voting for a powerful 1.000 rating and a guaranteed top seed in his second flight.

Pavel Filinov is second, with .727.

Then -- and this will really complicate things for me, but not for you -- there's a three-way tie between Debombourg, Tjapaltjarri, and Alechinsky. They all have ratings of .455.

Thanks for voting! Or, if you didn't vote, catch up to the current contests and vote on them!

Voting in the Infinite Art Tournament? Awesome. And, please be aware that purely anonymous votes are not counted. You don't need to log in or use your real name, but you must identify yourself in some fashion for your vote to count.
