I like the first Diebenkorn a lot but not the other two so much, but I'm rather taken with all three of the Delvaux offerings. So I will vote Delvaux, since I find myself in train stations more often than on the highway.

Delvaux reminds me too much of de Chirico (who I love and am sad is out of the tournament, I think). So out of spite I will vote for Diebenkorn. ...no, actually I really do like Diebenkorn.
Delvaux reminds me of Ensor, but... I dunno. And I'm not a massive Diebenkorn fan, but there's something mappy and diagramatic going on there that I kind of like.

Pfly: De Chirico still has some life left in him. He'll make his Left Bracket debut the week after next.
Delvaux has a mermaid in moonlight and a lady desperately hailing a skeleton (warning a better-dressed lady?) and girl walking away from us down a lonely street (alley? sidewalk?) at night.
After looking at Diebenkorn for a few minutes, I realized that my forehead was aching from frowning--mostly at his lines, I think. (And I seriously don't understand what's up with the roads in that first one.)
It's definitely Diebenkorn, with Portland, Oregon's favorite son trouncing moonlit madness 9-3 and making it untouched into the Third Round. Delvaux will have to take his chances with the winner of Dine/Brancusi sometime later in the year.
Voting in the Infinite Art Tournament? Awesome. And, please be aware that purely anonymous votes are not counted. You don't need to log in or use your real name, but you must identify yourself in some fashion for your vote to count.
