  1. As much as I like that spider thing, I go for Botero.

  2. Botero is excellent, and I haven't really ever liked Bourgeois, despite her impressive spide.

  3. I like both and will be sad to see either go. But if I have to choose, Botero.

  4. Bourgeois. Spiders over bullets any day.

  5. I like them both a lot, especially the pedicure in that first Botero. But I'm voting for Bourgeois.

  6. An email voter says "yuck, hate 'em both -- it's a non-voting tie."

If you can't say anything nice, say something negative in order to qualify for the fabulous prizes!

  7. Yeah, I dislike them both also, but maybe the spiders are a little better in person. I'll go with Bourgeois.

  8. Alison and I went to the Portland Art Museum yesterday, and I saw a Bourgeois that I quite liked! Not enough to switch my vote, but I wanted to say that I don't dislike her art as I did before.

  9. Oops, never voted. I am the anti-ChuckDaddy on this one: I don't especially care for either and will be fine seeing either go.

But I'll prefer Ms. Bourgeois because, well, spider. Plus absurdist furniture.

  10. ...and it looks like my vote was the culmination of a come-from-behind drive that brought us to a 6-6 tie.

After a brief consultation with the rulebook, it looks like that will create showdowns between Botero and George Caleb Bingham, and between Bourgeois and George Bellows. Bring on the American Georges!
