  1. I'll vote De Chirico, because of the intense oddness factor.

  2. The bubble is nice and all, but it'll take more than that to pop my De Chirico bubble.

  3. BTW, I've always liked this De Chirico,

Like many of his paintings it's strangely peaceful and sinister at once...

    However, BANANAS BANANAS BANANAS!

  5. Though I admire Chardin, I'm sticking with De Chirico and his sinister arcadias.

  6. The gray day outside likes playful human factor, so, Chardin. I might have easily picked Chirico if it was a sunny day!

  7. Chardin and charming French genre styling. I still don't quite grock De Chirico.

Mm -- sometimes we get a few sunny days in February...

  8. Not that I don't appreciate trains and bananas, but I think I'll go with Chardin!

  9. The problem at this point is that I become fond of the artists by virtue of seeing them earlier in the tournament and then feel attached to and protective of them. This almost tricks me into doing things like wanting to vote for De Chirico. Chardin's going to get this vote, though, now that I stopped and thought about it.

  10. De Chiraco can't hang on to his early lead, and goes down to Chardin 9-4 (and again, Alison only got counted once). It will be yet another all-France pairing as Chardin takes on Cezanne in Round 3!

    Voting closed in this pairing.
