Bosch
I like Blake, but make me vote against Bosch will be hard. I voted Bosch before, and I vote Bosch now!
I voted against Blake the first time, but I am quite taken by the "OH MY GOD I AM OUT OF BREAKFAST CEREAL" quality of his first work here. Even though I still don't like the guy in the last one. So Blake it is!
I'm voting for Blake! Bosch is nice too, but I like Blake's style better.
I've been with Blake all the way, but find his lunatic imagination pales against that of Bosch, who has my vote. Though I'd like to see the sitcom where they end up sharing an apartment in NYC. Perhaps with Charles A. A. Delschau as the wacky aviator down the hall.
Bosch. That last painting is awesome.
Blake keeps beating artists I like. Not this time. Take him Bosch!
Bosch, Bosch, Bosch, and more Bosch!
Yea, Mr. Hieronymus for me, sorry Blake. I like the idea of the two of them in a sitcom sharing a NYC apartment.
Blake for me - Nichim thinks they're both icky.
As much as I like Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights, it was the painting of the Wayfarer that got me this time. (Even though I thought he was a farmer until I looked the picture up.) It's blowing me away with each detail--the wooden spoon on the guy's pack, the mismatched shoes, the broken leaded windows on the house, the long pole leaning up against the house, though I don't know what it's for, and is that a guy taking a leak against the building? (Just curious.)
I'd also mention that I now wish that we could click "Like" for other people's comments. This is how much I've been contaminated by facebook.
Here's a vote just come in over the wireless: "I love both wierdos, Bosch & Blake, but will vote for Blake this time."
This is an epic showdown. I love them both. Way ahead of their times. But I have to go with Blake. His illustrations of Dante's Inferno are legendary.
My 7 year old son is excited to vote too. This bracket is awesome. I love the IAT
Blake it is!
Bosch - but it was close!
JFlo: I, too, love the IAT. It goes without saying that those who bring a seven year old to the voting undertake a grave responsibility not to exert undue influence on a young and susceptible mind. And yes, Candida, that is almost certainly a guy taking a leak on the building. Life's like that, and so is Bosch.
Speaking of Bosch, he takes the match 9-6 and will proceed to a titanic showdown with Bernini in Round 4. William Blake takes up a post in the Left Bracket, where he will wait several months for the tournament to catch back up to him.
Voting is closed in this match.
