  1. Boyd! His paintings are odd in a way that evokes amusement, whereas Bourgeois's works are odd in a way that evokes slight confusion, and not much else. And I really, really like Crazy Guy On Crazy Ox Thing.

  2. After some googling (again, I did some last time these two were up against others), I gotta go with Louise.

  3. Gah - neither! I object to how the artists have been seeded. =P

  4. Bourgeois for the giant spider, though I'm not as fond of the pink orgy.

  5. I just like Boyd better. There, I said it.

  6. Reb: But... they haven't been seeded! You object to how they haven't been seeded? But it's the second round here, too, so you might be objecting to how others are voting. Which is part of the fun, of course.

  7. Boyd. I like his stuff. Really interesting ideas being expressed.

  8. I'm really struggling with this round. Okay, I settle it tournament style, picture versus picture. Pink orgy versus biracial couple? Going Boyd. Giant pick versus... sunrise? the sunrise seems a little sloppy, I'll go Borgeois. And the spider versus awesome wall... Well, I love them both, but I'll go with Boyd. So Boyd it is!

  9. I must have some art-critique in me as I seem to be agreeing with the other sentiments expressed here. This is a very tough one. I going with Bourgeois only because I've read about her.

  11. I'm going to go with Boyd -- Massaccio Down Under! He's growing on me, and Bourgeois is starting to shrink on me a little I'm afraid.

  12. Here's a vote-by-mail for Boyd.

  13. Bourgeois! I'm digging all the slight confusion

  14. Boyd pulls away at the end to win by a single vote, 7-6; this will give him the honor of reaching the third round unscathed to take on Botticelli, who I expect may give him some trouble. Good on 'im, though! Voting is closed in this pairing.
