  3. No one knows how to point a finger like Caravaggio! One surly and boisterous vote for the master of light and dark!

  4. Wow! This a surprisingly strong matchup. I'll go Caravaggio because of the really good lighting, but I expect either one will go far in their respective brackets.

  5. Sorry Canova, I like your work, but Caravaggio is Caravaggio!

There will be a Caravaggio exposition in my city next July, and I'm very excited with the opportunity.

  9. LOL - Mrs. 5K, you need to teach an Art Appreciation class.

  10. Since I can't decide and Caravaggio is ahead, I'll cast my vote for Canova.

  11. I hope this doesn't make you lose any respect you might have had for my integrity, but, while most days I would sanely admit that Caravaggio is the better artist, I'm going to give my vote to Canova. Between the delightful Cupid and Psyche and the way he's handled the fabric on the mattress in the second one, I'm going to give him a vote of respect. Then I'll go vote for him some more in the so-called "left bracket."

  12. Anonymous and Anonymous, you have to give an ID for your vote to count! I need to make that more clear somehow.

Anyhoo, Canova has some serious sculpting chops. But Caravaggio, natch.

  13. And this pairing is closed for voting. Canova put up a spirited showing, but Caravaggio ran off with it in the end.

Voting in the Infinite Art Tournament? Awesome. And, please be aware that purely anonymous votes are not counted. You don't need to log in or use your real name, but you must identify yourself in some fashion for your vote to count.
