Batoni
I'm going to have to abstain from this one, because they're both pretty rad.
Bassano, Morgan has a point that they're both good, but I like the varied detail in the Bassanos given. (Really, I'd be ok with either winning)
Bassano. I'd be okay with either losing, though.
Batoni because: more sexy, less confusing.
I'm going to have to go with Batoni for overall aesthetics, though I do like some of Bassano's dark/night scenes.
Bassano. Because there are chickens and goats in the first one, and although there are four (!) dogs, I like the way that one of them is curiously sniffing what appears to be a turtle, with pretty much the same posture/expression as the old guy sniffing the baby in the second picture.
Bassano for me, thanks.
Once I determined that it was a baby and not a cupid, I became open to bassano. What sealed it is that I would never want to hang out with the guy Batoni drew (outside of a, it's so crazy to actually meet someone from the 18th century, kind of way)
I've got an Email vote for Bassano here.
My own vote is going to go for Bassano as well, but I'm afraid it's really a negative vote against a certain twee factor in Batoni. I'm not seeing either of these two surviving long when they hit the big names.
Bassano here, though I have to agree that they're a bit confusing.
Mrs. X says Batoni, because Bassano looks depressing.
Voting is now closed on this matchup.
