It may be a boring postcard (and sad... no visitors at all that day?), but it's very interesting architecture.
Couldn't they have parked a few beaters in the lot? The building looks a lot like an oven....
My vote: NOT boring. I've been there--it's really cool! The reason it looks like the building is built into a hillside is that there are dinosaur fossils in that hillside that you view from inside the Visitors Center.
I really like the fact that the photo wasn't retouched before being printed as a postcard. Somebody could've Photoshopped out the trashcans and the oil stains on the pavement (assuming the postcard's from the Photoshop era), but I like it better this way.
That looks and sounds familiar, but I don't think I've been there. Is there another equally boring dinosaur centre somewhere?
