Whoa. Where has this record been all my life? Around, I guess: it's only two years younger than I am. But damn! It's one long festival of groovy sounds. I think it's been waiting for me to be ready for it.

When I was about 24 or so, one of the prettiest girls I've ever known asked me if I wanted to go see Miles Davis. I said "no thanks" - further proof that I am an idiot!

ReplyDeleteI have that on vinyl, and I just can't dig it as much as, say, Tribute to Jack Johnson. I really want to get some Sun Ra stuff. He is like a pimp-daddy philosopher from another planet.
