  10. Fingers-to-the-bone, if your knee joint looks like that, quick! go see an orthopedist!

What's up with the garbled type? (I do not for a moment think Carto did part of his answers in Mandarin.) Though it would be a good way for me to cover up my ignorance!

    3. Stonehenge?
    4. The Hollywood sign!
    5. Some undoubtedly very cool structure on a hill, but I couldn't say what.
    6. Some of those man-made neighborhoods out in the water in Dubai?

  14. Naturally I am not doing this one ... I dropped out of your quizzes quite some time ago because I realized I AM A MORON but this one is such a cool idea. Just sayin. Could I get a star for that?

  15. Pretty sure Carto's answers are in Korean. Could be wrong but it's far from Mandarin.

I've got a bad case of quiz withdrawl syndrome and hope to correct it sometime soon.

  16. All right, people!

    1. The Eiffel Tower. Easy if you see it in 3D, but really hard if it looks flat to you.

    2. You've got the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, with the Wailing Wall on the bottom and the Dome of the Rock more or less in the center.

    3. Stonehenge and associated parking lot.

    4. The Hollywood sign. If you are having trouble seeing it, the sign is centered about 1/4 of the way up from the bottom.

    5. Mt. Saint Michelle at low tide.

    6. Some of the goofy development around Dubai. For a sense of scale, notice the major international airport in the upper right.

  17. So there are winners and there are losers, as Mellencamp taught us, and it ain't no big deal. Tonight, specifically, the winners are Dug, Rebel, Mrs.5000, Karin, and DrSchnell. Congratulations to them, to everyone who entered, and to Jenners who admitted that it was a cool Quiz even if she didn't submit answers, because she's a moron. Her word, not mine.

  18. @Anonymous: I especially like the part where they get into the food fight. Hilarious!

@state capital building in Salem... third holiest site of Islam in 'Salem... awfully close.

    @Carto: Heh.

@Calico: Sorry about this, but I kind of needed the word "Dubai" in there.

@Rebel: I believe you are thinking of The Kaaba. Good! But wrong. But, you got the other five, so an EP for you!

@fingers: OK, you made me laugh with the corn maze, that's good. But then I TOTALLY see Jesus and the owl, which is kind of spooky.

@Elaine: I don't think Carto did part of his answers in Mandarin either. I think he did 'em in mock Korean.

@Karin: GOOOOOOOOOOOAL! The only 6/6 for the week!

@Jenners: You're not really a moron. For one thing, you are the Queen of Scattergories.

@Phineas: Phineas is in the house! Welcome back sir!!

  19. OK, it's not really Saint Michelle, mon Michel. Unless the monks were sitting around singing plain-chant Beatles ballads...

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well, I can see the Hollywood sign now that someone pointed it out.

Are there Palm Islands outside of Dubai?
