The Thursday Quiz is an "Is It or Isn't It" game. From the list of twelve items, your job is to determine whether each IS or ISN'T a true example of the week's category.
Remember always the enduring values:
No research, Googling, Wikiing, or use of reference books. The Thursday Quiz is a POP quiz. Violators will emerge almost entirely intact at the bottom of a glacier, centuries hence. This Week's Category will seem like it lasts forever!

3. Silurian. 444 to 416 million years ago
4. Essexian. 416 to 360 million years ago
5. Carboniferous. 360 to 300 million years ago
6. Triassic. 250 to 200 million years ago
7. Jurassic. 200 to 145 million years ago
8. Cretaceous. 145 to 65 million years ago
9. Paleogene. 65 to 23 million years ago

That's wicked hard. When was the tittyrific period?
ReplyDeleteAh, the tittyriffic (two f's Mr. Noisewater) was sandwiched between the Cartlagimous and Forthrimic periods-- there were many a didactomorph roaming in those times, around 7566 AM, incidentally.
ReplyDeleteA good addition to this fine list. I think he deserves a bonus point, 5K.

High family drama this week! The TQLVII Gold Star goes to Elizabeth's Mom, who registered the only perfect score! Had she not posted, not only would Elizabeth herself scored a Star this week, but Elizabeth's nephew -- yes, Elizabeth's Mom's beloved grandson -- would have scored HIS first Star. Oh! The cruel irony!
ReplyDeleteIt is, of course, Elizabeth's Mom's first prize in L&TM5K competition, the 57th person to so distinguish herself.
The Silver goes to la gringissima, her third.
The Blue goes to gs49, his second.
Well done to all competitors!
No no no no no!!!! I posted to this one! And I got them all right! (maybe) Oh well... reminder to self to double check posts before navigating away from your rebel-post eating blog. =/
ReplyDeleteYes, well, it's all in the dorky family. We'll bask in the reflected glow.
