The Thursday Quiz!

The Thursday Quiz is an "Is It or Isn't It" game. From the list of twelve items, your job is to determine whether each IS or ISN'T a true example of the week's category.

Remember always the qualities of the architypical hero:
No research, Googling, Wikiing, or use of reference books. The Thursday
Quiz is a POP quiz. Violators will find themselves on the cutting room floor.
This Week's Category will overwhelm you with sheer spectacle!

9 and 10 would have been the only ones I knew as IS. But I am too late. Tardy!

  15. Well, to quote karmasartre,

    "

    2 / isn't
    3 / isn't
    4 / isn't
    5 / isn't
    6 / is

    8 / isn't
    9 / is
    10 / is
    11 / isn't
    12 / isn't
    "

Which is to say, per Rex: "Gladiator, Shakespeare in Love, Return of the King. That's it."

  16. Obviously, karma and Rex find themselves in the winners' circle this week! Karmasartre got there first to take the Gold TQVL Statuette -- er, rather, STAR. It's his third and his ninth Star overall.

Rex Parker got there fourth to take this week's one Green; it's Rex's sixth Green overall, and his third in four weeks!

In between them was DrSchnell, who takes his fifth Silver Star, and ChuckDaddy, who claims his first ever Blue. Those are their 13th and 3rd Stars, respectively.

Thanks for your patience this week, and -- as always -- thanks for playing the Thursday Quiz!
