It's the 514th Anniversary of the Treaty of Tordesillas!


And, the 43rd anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Griswold v. Connecticut.


And, the first anniversary of The Life & Times of Michael5000!


Thanks to everybody who has read, commented, competed, and complained in response to posts during this last trip around the sun. It has been a lot of fun.

    Wow. I didn't do any forensics, so am surprised that you had not started earlier than a year ago.

    You're awesome with this, and the value you provide us, especially those you've never met, is more than you would realize.

    I'm prone to long winded expository, and have a reception to attend in 14 minutes, so consider this.

    You have allowed:

    - Some people to celebrate their geekness.
    - Some people to rekindle a love of to obscure (without risking ridicule from those around them.)
    - Some people to realize that sitting for hours staring at flags and maps and getting lost in Wiki for nearly days on end is not a diagnosable psychosis.
    - Some people to take a creative flyer that they would never initiate themselves.
    - Some people to look forward to Monday and Thursday carrying a secret obsession, which is the highlight of their day.

    Then you further share your thoughts on music, literature and god knows what else.....and let me (I mean some one) think over your point of view, compare/contrast, etc.....[we're now in long winded expository territory]......
